Faced with the threat of starvation, melting ice and low visibility, a young polar bear hunts through the dense fog banks of the Arctic in search of prey.
Enter the icy combat zone of the Arctic Circle, home to the biggest predator of the north, the polar bear. It's a realm full of creatures scarcely known to man, and for young polar bears, it's a world full of danger. Join us as we track two polar bear families over the course of one bitter year as they battle starvation, each other, and the damaging effects of climate change. Some will survive. Some will not. With an increase in global warming and a decrease in native hunting grounds, larger questions loom for the survival of these Arctic animals.
