A severe thunderstorm forced a Boeing 737 to attempt an emergency landing on the most unlikely, impossible place: a New Orleans levee.
Caught in a severe thunderstorm en route from Belize to New Orleans, TACA Airlines Flight 110 is in trouble. Just 20 miles from the airport, the engines quit, effectively turning the Boeing 737 into a multi-ton glider. With no thrust and dropping 1,500 feet a minute, the crew needs to find a place to land, and fast. Brace for impact along with 38 passengers as the pilots, armed with little more than calm nerves and determination, attempt one of the most remarkable landings in the history of commercial aviation.
