It was known as the Dolphin House, a unique laboratory in the Virgin Islands home to a remarkable and audacious 1960s experiment to communicate with dolphins. Backed by government funding, neuroscientist John Lilly worked with a brilliant group of colleagues, but his growing fascination with drugs, and researcher Margaret Howe's relationship with one of the dolphins, would lead to controversy.
