More About This episode

In just a few short years, the ideals that inspired the Russian Revolution became distant memories, forgotten or ignored by Lenin and the Bolshevik Party. Instead, fear, paranoia, and violence became the new culture. The sailors of Kronshtadt registered a protest against Lenin, believing they were exercising their democratic duty. But in fact they were unknowingly plotting a collision course with the Red Army. It was to be the beginning of the end for the one-time heroes of the revolution.
