Mighty Ships: Neptune
Neptune is a ship out of water...fifty feet out of water. Custom-built to raise herself high off the ocean surface, this jack-up vessel has only one job to do: assemble wind turbines in rough seas. Join this brand-new ship off the Belgian Coast, where she will transport and install 30 massive turbines. It's a job that will take everything this mighty ship has to offer, because what makes this location the perfect place to operate a wind farm also makes it the worst place for a ship to build one.
Solid Sea Legs on a Mighty Ship
Neptune has four legs designed to push off of the sea floor and lift the ship out of the water. Her crew has the tough mission of avoiding soft soil and assuring solid footing.
